Edmonton’s Arts District is a dynamic and interconnected cultural hub in the heart of downtown, bringing together leading institutions, public spaces, and creative organizations to inspire community and year round engagement.

Through this call for artists, the Edmonton Mural Festival and its Arts District partners are building a growing roster of muralists to contribute to future public art opportunities, including a flagship 2026 mural at the Citadel Theatre. This evolving, multi-year initiative aims to enhance the district through impactful public art, strengthen cultural identity, and create meaningful connections between artists, audiences, and place.
