Edmonton Mural Festival
Artist Code of Conduct
As a participating artist in the Edmonton Mural Festival, you are not only creating public art but also representing the values, mission, and vision of the festival. We ask all artists to uphold the following code of conduct:
-
Professionalism: Treat all collaborators, community members, volunteers, and staff with respect and professionalism at all times—on and off the wall.
-
Community Respect: Your artwork and presence in the community should reflect sensitivity to local cultures, values, and spaces. Engage with the community positively and respectfully.
-
Safety & Responsibility: Follow all safety guidelines and take proper care of equipment, materials, and the site. Leave your worksite clean and safe.
-
Integrity in Art: All work must be original. Do not copy, appropriate, or reproduce another artist’s work without permission.
-
Representation: As a representative of the festival, your conduct online and in person should reflect the inclusive, collaborative, and celebratory spirit of the festival.
-
Zero Tolerance: The festival has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the festival and impact future opportunities with Edmonton Mural Fest.
